  6. A dream took me back
  7.  
  8. To the times of 10586 B.C. 
  9.  
  10. The times my ancestors cruised the heavens 
  11. In moon-sized starships 
  12. Carrying with them the cargoes 
  13. Of livestock and plants 
  14. Those that inhabited our world 
  15.  
  16. And they explored the unknown galaxies 
  17. Till in a nodescript and distant star system 
  18. By some misfortune their fuel ran out 
  19.  
  20. These intrepid explorers 
  21. Set the mothership's self destruct 
  22. And fled to a blue planet's surface 
  23.  
  24. Their number is uncertain 
  25.  
  26. Perhaps thirty, fourty or some more 
  27.  
  28. The shield of their ship glowed 
  29. Brilliant orange and red 
  30. Till they splashed in an ocean 
  31. Filled with so much salt 
  32. They called it dead 
  33.  
  34. Yet it took them several days 
  35. Of stormy and calm winds 
  36. To finally set upon some sandy shore 
  37. Where they set their camp 
  38.  
  39. Their initial intentions were good 
  40.  
  41. Or so I suspect 
  42.  
  43. For four brothers with their families 
  44. Travelled in different directions 
  45. To the North, South, East and West 
  46.  
  47. Each bore their own insignia 
  48. The eagle, lion and the bear 
  49. Save for one, the leader of the team 
  50. He wore the face of our race 
  51. As his crest 
  52.  
  53. Now the design of their vessels 
  54. Had a purpose in mind 
  55. To be as scary as possible 
  56. And make any inhabitants run in fright 
  57.  
  58. One being could run this on his own 
  59. Witness their power, to awe and destroy 
  60. When their weapons were fully deployed 
  61. Witness their power to create 
  62. For they held within them 
  63. The genetic encoding of our race 
  64. With factories capable of replicating 
  65. Our very DNA 
  66.  
  67. But the brothers found nothing 
  68. Except for some frightening reptiles 
  69.  
  70. "Until these beasts, these devils are gone 
  71. We'll never be safe窶
  72.  
  73. So they argued about the best way 
  74. To make the new world a haven 
  75.  
  76. Nothing will survive a nuclear winter 
  77.  
  78. Save our replicators 
  79. Who will spawn our population 
  80. All over this planet
  81.  
  82. So the four brothers agreed 
  83. And from each corner of the world 
  84. A massive nuclear missile was launched 
  85. They exploded into great clouds of dust 
  86. Shattering the continents 
  87. And blackening the skies 
  88.  
  89. And a hundred years passed 
  90.  
  91. The dragons now extinct 
  92. My ancestors' ships wakened from hybernation 
  93. And began the colonisation 
  94. When six days were finished 
  95. The ark that brought them to this place 
  96.  
  97. Dissolved into oblivion 
  98.  
  99. Nothing left except deeply encoded stories 
  100. Of that time 
  101. Kept by four special creatures 
  102.  
  103. The guardians of the messenger ships 
  104.  
  105. The ones designed to frighten 
  106.  
  107. To control the emerging populace 
  108.  
  109. They would write their own stories 
  110. Over time 
  111.  
  112. But these guardians 
  113. Would always keep watch
